Creative Fest 2020

The biggest Science and Technology Innovation Exhibition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Islamia College Peshawar organized by Science and Technology and Information Technology Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was inaugurated by Zia Ullah Bangash (Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science & Technology and Information Technology), Taimur Khan Jhagra (Finance Minister, Pakhtunkhwa) and Kamran Khan Bangash(Special Assistant to CM for LocalGovernment & Rural Development) on 26th February 2020. KP #CreativeFest2020 features 900+ participants, 58 Regional Olympiad winners competing for the final Trophy. The Grand Finale, 80+ makers showcasing their extraordinary talent, 100+ startups getting together, International speakers and trainers and much more in exhibition. Two projects in the maker category were presented by Students of Environmental Sciences Department, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus. Titles of projects were “Low-cost water Filtration System” (presented by Bibi Zainab, Zainab Ayaz (MS-III), supervised by Dr. Zulfiqar Ahmad Bhatti, Dr. Arshad Mehmood Abbasi, Dr. Arshad Pervez) and “Photocatalytic inactivation of bioaerosoles” (presented by Momina Qaiser (MS-III) and Haris Abdullah (MS-I) supervised by Dr Nadia Riaz. Our students, our pride, Bibi Zainab and Zainab Ayaz (MS-III) were awarded with 2nd prize at provincial level. Both students were already Regional Olympiad winners by securing3rd prize in category of university level in previously held Regional Science Olympiad/ Fair organized by Directorate of Science and Technology (DoST), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 12th June 2019. Closing Ceremony of #CreativeFest2020 was held on 27th February 2020 at Islamia College Peshawar and prizes were distributed by Chief Guest, Fawad Chaudhry (Federal Minister for Science and Technology) and Zia Ullah Bangash (Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science & Technology and Information Technology).
