Life Sciences Center LiSCENT

A new Service Centre with the name of LiSCENT has been established. The main activities of LiSCENT are

• LiSCENT will coordinate and integrate the instructional and research activities of a broad range of faculty with interest in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.
• LiSCENT will be involved in the analyses in the areas of environment, nutritional, pharmaceutical, microbiological, and applied research and development. LSL will also cooperate with industrial clients to aid in the solution of their problems and conduct audits of facilities to evaluate their compliance with various Governmental regulations.
• LiSCENT will also be involved in Assistance in Quarantine
• LiSCENT will provide its Services to the academia, Industries, Research Institutes and other organizations like Hospitals, NGOs and Health department. These services will be a source of revenue for the labs.

1. Analytical Services

Providing expert chemical analyses for vitamins, botanicals, and nutritional supplements and cosmetics. The mission will be to become a trusted partner in the business of our clients in Pakistan by providing quality analytical testing, friendly client service and value-added consulting related to data interpretation.

2. Special Services in Microbiology & Biotechnology

Provide microbiological test of public-health significance from surface waters, ground waters and sediments for a variety of study objectives. The goals of the services are to:

1. Provide quality microbiological analytical services to the institutes for the analysis of environmental samples for Microbes.
2. Work with other government agencies, academic institutions and public utilities to develop and to test methods for detection or enumeration of microorganisms of public health significance in the environment.
