  • Developing a business idea, and identifying unique opportunities.
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Prototyping and Product Development (Prof. Hans M Guelich)

  • Turning a concept or prototype into a viable product.
  •  Practical steps and considerations in product development
  • Conforming to Standards, Processes, testing, and legal Issues
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM                Lunch Break
2:15 PM – 4:15 PM Hands-On Session: Crafting a Business Idea and Mock Registration (Dr. M. Naveed Jan)

  • Brainstorming and developing a business idea, identifying unique opportunities and challenges in the tech sector.
  • Completing a mock registration form for a tech company, covering the necessary information and steps involved in the registration process.

Day 2: Planning for Success: Business and Marketing Plan Preparation (20th February 24)

  • Elements of a successful business plan.
  • Writing mission and vision statements, target market analysis, and revenue models.
  • Legal framework for starting a new tech company.

12:00 AM – 1:30 PM Preparing a Marketing Plan (Mr. Zayn Qureshi, NUST)

  • Understanding the importance of a marketing plan in the tech start-up journey.
  • Key components and considerations in developing an effective marketing plan.

2:30 PM – 4:15 PM Business Plan Development and Marketing Plan Preparation (Dr. Jamil Anwar)

Participants work on crafting their business plans.

Day 3: Navigating the Tech Start-up Life Cycle (21st February 24)

  • Stages in the life cycle of a tech company: ideation, development, launch, growth, and exit strategies.
  • Key challenges and opportunities at each stage.

  • Learning from real-world examples of tech start-ups.
  • Analysing the reasons behind their successes and failures.
12:00 AM – 12:15 AM Tea Break
12:15 PM -1:15 PM Seed Funding and Crowdfunding (Ms. Minahil Zia, LUMS)

  • Overview of crowdfunding and seed funding in the tech industry.
  • Understanding the differences between crowdfunding and seed funding.
  • Exploring successful cases of tech start-ups funded through crowdfunding and seed funding.
  • Tips for preparing a compelling crowdfunding campaign or pitch for seed funding

Participants work on creating their marketing plans, guided by the marketing plan preparation session on Day 2.

Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in hands-on activities, group discussions, and case study analyses. They will leave with a deeper understanding of Entrepreneurship and the tools needed to guide their students on their entrepreneurial journeys.
