Research Interests

  • Investigation of soft solutions (Forests and vegetations) to mitigate the flood and tsunami energy in inland areas.
  • The combined utilization of coastal forest, sand dunes and banks to reduce the impact of Tsunami.
  • Role of single- and double-layer vegetation in protection of houses during floods.
  • Analyses of secondary disasters caused by driftwood, as well as the development of response strategies.
  • Investigating the scour behaviour by changing the position and angle of the riparian vegetation patch along the dike.
  • Effect of large floating debris during floods on scouring.
  • Clarification of the connection between flood characteristics and vegetational dynamics in midstream areas, as well as the recommendation of strategies for managing and maintaining rivers and their vegetation based on the findings.
  • Investigation of trees parameters including arrangement, density, diameter and crown part in variation of flow structure.
  • Investigation of various debris
  • Investigation of scour reduction around bridge piers.
  • Utilization of numerical simulation to analyze the internal flow properties
