The Department of Humanities arranged a two days’ workshop on “Quantitative Data Analysis in Social Sciences” for the students of BS English on November 07 &08, 2024. The workshop aimed to address the technical issues being faced by the students studying the research methods, collecting data and applying statistical analysis. The first session of the workshop was conducted by Mr. Ossam Chohan from the Department of Mathematics. He addressed the fundamentals of statistical analysis and the basics of SPSS. The second and third session accompanied by a series of queries into the subject were conducted by Dr. Naveed Iqbal from the Department of Management Sciences. Dr. Naveed Iqbal provided a practical insight into the questionnaire design and analysis. Addressing the closing session the Head of the Department of Humanities appreciated the chief organizer Dr. Rabiah Rustam and the Departmental event management team including Dr. Babar Jadoon. Mr Zeeshan Ali Afsar and Mr. Abdulmajid Khalil. He highlighted the importance of the statistical tools and thanked the resource persons as well as the participants. The workshop was concluded by the distribution of certificates and shields to the students, organizers and the resource persons.
