Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women around the world. Unfortunately, Pakistan has the highest incidence of breast cancer in Asia. It is estimated that each year more than 83,000 cases of breast cancer are reported in Pakistan. Nearly 40,000 women die, just due to this deadly disease, mainly due to the lack of awareness. SKMCH&RC remains dedicated to raise awareness about Breast Cancer through its yearly Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. However, being part of the academia and being the main stake holder in health care profession, and maintaining its high standards set previously, Department of Pharmacy, COMSATS University, Abbottabad conducted Breast cancer Awareness Day on 25^th of October 2021 at COMSATS University, Abbottabad Campus. Pharmacy practice faculty and female students enlightened the females on campus that inheritance is one of the major risk factors of breast cancer. Female faculty on desk elaborated for students that among all the female cancer patients, more than 80% are victims of breast cancer. So, we consider it our moral as well as professional responsibility to raise awareness among females regarding prevention of this deadly disease.” Campus faculty also visited the desk and appreciated the coordination of Dawaa society and pharmacy department efforts, how department of pharmacy worked all about to conduct these kinds of valuable events for common person. Watching shining faces of women of all departments was delightful sight wearing our pink butterfly’s badges and learning in a comfortable environment.

Worthy Director Professor Dr. Imtiaz Ali Khan also visited the forum along with Chairman Department of pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Taus Khan. Pharmacy Faculty members and students honored and welcomed the director with full enthasisuism. This interactive session was led by Mr. Muhammad Naeem Riaz and Dr. Mobasher Ali Abid who made high efforts from all angles for the success of event. Mr. Junaid Hassan, student coordinator along with his team managed the cake cutting ceremony, Slap cancer and balloon ceremonies led by our worthy Director. Lastly a pictorial presentation of student faculty along with director was conducted with full energy. Session was ended with vote of thanks from the worthy director.
