An online awareness seminar on “Youm-e-Tahaffuz Namoos-e-Risalat (PBUH)” was held at the CUI Abbottabad campus on 15th March 2024 as directed by HEC. It was attended by the Director CUI Abbottabad Campus Prof Dr Imtiaz Ali Khan and senior faculty, Chermans, HoDs, staff, and students.

The seminar was hosted by the Hon’ble Chairman of HEC, the session featured insightful addresses by Advocate Rao Abdur Raheem from the Legal Commission on Blasphemy, Pakistan, and Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haque, Director General of the Islamic Research Institute, IIUI. A vital initiative bringing together academia and legal expertise to safeguard our sacred values. He emphasizes the importance of preventing blasphemous material/activities on social media. The coordination office and convener of the Seerah Society Dr Jamil Anwar has been appointed as focal person for this initiative. Director CUI Abbottabad campus said that he ensured that he along with his team, will conduct an awareness drive within the campus to ensure that this initiative can be effectively implemented. He reiterated the fact that faculty members play a crucial role in guiding and educating students about the importance of respecting religious sentiments and preventing the spread of blasphemous material. Their active involvement and support will be integral to the success of this endeavor in creating a responsible and respectful campus. environment.
