Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) of the Department of Management Sciences convened on May 9, 2024, at the Library Video Conference Room, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus. This important meeting brought together esteemed professionals and industry leaders to discuss and strategize on key academic and industry-related topics. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Imran Khan, head Department of Management Sciences. The meeting was graced by the presence of notable attendees:

  1. Mr. Haji Iftikhar: Renowned industrialist, former Vice President of FPCCI, and former President of the Abbottabad Chamber of Commerce.
  2. Mr. Wahid Siraj Mir: Distinguished educationist, Principal of Modernage Public School & College, and Director of EQUIP Pakistan.
  3. Dr. Mobashar Sadik, CEO of the Institute of Financial Markets Pakistan, joined us online via MS Teams.
  4. Mr. Noor Khan: Our esteemed alumnus and CEO & Director of EXPO Globe International Private Limited, who also participated online via MS Teams.
  5. Despite the nine-hour time difference between Pakistan and the US, Mr. Kalim Ullah Jan (Senior Vice President – Treasurer Accounting Department, Ion Bank, US) contributed his valuable insights via email.

The key discussion points of the Corporate Advisory Board meeting included a thorough evaluation of the introductory course content for BS(BA) students to ensure alignment with industry standards, the exploration of new collaboration opportunities between the department and industry partners, strategies to address the ongoing energy crisis with a focus on sustainable solar energy solutions, and plans for organizing a national-level seminar to analyze and discuss the implications of the upcoming budget.
