COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Abbottabad campus, successfully hosted a comprehensive Summer Training Program on August 1, 2024 organized by the Faculty Development Academy, the program ran throughout the day, featuring a series of parallel sessions. This event marked the seventh training session under CUI’s faculty and staff development initiative.

The program focused on three crucial topics: Harassment at the Workplace, Abuse of Authority, and the Uniform Management System (UMS). Leading these sessions were esteemed experts, including Prof. Dr. Rafaqat Hussain, Department of Chemistry CUI Islamabad, Dr. Romana Khan, Associate Professor, CUI Abbottabad, Mr. Atif Bhatti, Incharge, UMS, CUI Islamabad, and Mr. Asad Hussain, Program Officer, UMS, CUI Islamabad.

During the address, Merit Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ali Khan, Director, CUI Abbottabad campus, highlighted the importance of such training programs for staff development. He acknowledged the challenges in advertising this year’s event due to time constraints but assured participants that future training camps would be planned and announced earlier to enhance participation. He also expressed plans to involve professionals from other organizations by requesting nominations to enrich the program further.

The training was met with enthusiastic participation from faculty, officers, and staff across the CUI Abbottabad campus, who engaged in the discussions and activities.
