Achievement of Chemistry Department: Best paper award in MTME 2024
Exciting News! We’re thrilled to share the incredible achievements of our Chemistry Department at CUI Abbottabad! The Material Chemistry Group, led by Dr. Huma Ajab (Tenured Associate Professor), has reached a significant milestone.
Dr. Huma’s research group recently attended the 2nd International Conference on Modern Technologies in Material and Mechanical Engineering (MTME 2024) at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Topi.
Their research paper and poster were selected for presentation among 70 submissions from national and international research groups.
We are proud to announce that their research paper won the Best Paper award in the material category! The paper, titled “Development in Heavy Metal Ions Detection: Antimony-Hydroxyapatite Modified Electrodes Coupled with Square Wave Anodic Stripping Voltammetry,” showcases the hard work and innovative thinking of Dr. Huma and her MS fellows, Muhammad Umar Draz, Amina, and Saad Ullah Bhatti.
This achievement is a testament to their dedication and will surely inspire our students to pursue excellence in material chemistry. It’s a proud moment for COMSATS University Islamabad and a significant milestone for the Material Chemistry Group.
