A job fair was organized on June 21, 2023, at the COMSATS University Islamabad Abbottabad Campus, where 70 national and international companies and organizations participated. Graduates of COMSATS University Abbottabad Campus participated in the event and gave interviews to companies for job opportunities and internships. The Chief Guest at the event was the Rector of Pak-Austria  Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Haripur Professor Dr. Muhammad Mujahid. Director  COMSATS University Islamabad Abbottabad Campus, Professor Dr. Muhammad Maroof Shah, professors, and heads of departments along with students were also present.

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Rector Pak-Austria, Professor Dr. Muhammad Mujahid said that this event provides an opportunity for COMSATS students to secure their future, which is commendable. The students of the eighth semester will have immediate job prospects after completing their education, which will eliminate unemployment. He emphasized that students should not only focus on traditional education but also pay attention to industrial and technical education so that industries can be promoted in the country.

Director COMSATS University Abbottabad Campus, Professor Dr. Muhammad Maroof Shah, stated in his speech that COMSATS University is among the best universities not only in Pakistan but also in the world. Apart from providing quality education, the university has organized a job fair to provide job opportunities to students. He urged the students to make the most of the job fair and emphasized that the university administration will continue to provide such opportunities in the future for the benefit of the students. University-Industry liaison plays a vital role in the upgradation of academic activities and providing a qualified workforce to the industry. The importance of recruiters invited on campus is also acknowledged by HEC.

Representatives of participating companies in the job fair stated that it is the best idea to provide internships and employment opportunities to the students. Companies have had the opportunity to choose candidates according to their standards. The students appreciated the initiatives taken by the university administration, and they displayed presented various project ideas. Several companies offered jobs and internships to the students after conducting interviews. renowned recruiting organizations from different segments of the corporate sector, including the automobile, software, and IT industry, PTCL, the Hospitality industry, and many more joined the job fair making it a diverse hub of representatives from the corporate sector. It also ensured that job possibilities were there for more than one department of the university. During the event, the Rector of Pak Austria University was also presented with a souvenir on behalf of the institution.
