Zero Visit by The National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC) – Islamabad to the Department of Environmental Sciences, CUI, Abbottabad Campus

The National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC) conducted zero visits on 23rd June 2023, of the Department of Environmental Sciences at COMSATS University Islamabad Abbottabad Campus. This visit held immense significance as it aimed to assess the quality and standards of our department’s programs and facilities.

The NAEAC Team, comprising esteemed members including Prof. Dr. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan (Chairperson, NAEAC), Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghaffar (Secretary, NAEAC), Prof. Dr. Khalid Saifullah Khan (Director, Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi), and Mr. Abdullah (NAEAC Program Coordinator), played a pivotal role in the evaluation process.

Department of Environmental Sciences extends a warm welcome to the visiting team, who were graciously received by respected Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irshad, (the Chairperson & Focal Person for the Department of Environmental Science), along with the Head Prof. Dr. Faridullah and dedicated ES faculty members.

During the zero visit, the Department profile was presented by Dr Zulfiqar Ahmad Bhatti and the NAEAC team meticulously evaluated various aspects, including curriculum, teaching methods, research facilities, infrastructure, and the overall academic environment. This comprehensive assessment was further enriched by their interactions with ES students and faculty, allowing them to gain valuable insights into our department’s strengths and areas that require further improvement.

We are immensely proud to share that the zero-visit conducted by NAEAC to the Dept. of Environmental Sciences at CUI, Abbottabad Campus successfully initiated the accreditation process. The collaborative efforts of the visiting team, dedicated faculty, and administrative personnel will undoubtedly contribute to the continuous improvement and excellence of our educational programs in the field of environmental sciences.
