PhD Candidate Mr.Jawad Ahmed to Defend Thesis on Enhancing Cancer Drug Production

The PhD Viva Voce examination of Mr. Jawad Ahmed (Reg. No. CIIT/FA18-R62-002) will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024. His thesis, titled “Improvement of Vinblastine Content in Catharanthus roseus by Biotic and Abiotic Elicitation,” focuses on increasing the production of vinblastine, a crucial cancer-fighting compound, using various methods.The defense, supervised by Dr. Amjad Hassan, will begin at 10:30 AM in the Video Conference Room at the Main Library.

The event is open to the public, though evaluation is reserved for the examination panel.
