The Office of the Graduate Studies of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Abbottabad campus, endeavors to make research a top priority for sustainable economic growth. Under the chairmanship of Director, CUI Abbottabad two days extensive meeting was held on October 4-5, 2021, followed by award ceremony organized by the Office of Graduate Studies – CUI, Abbottabad Campus. The event was held at main Auditorium.  Chairman Campus Graduate Program Committee (CGPC) Dr Muhammad Maroof Shah and Assistant Program Officer – Ms Sehrish Wali along with their team hosted the event. Honorable faculty from all the departments attended the meeting. Worthy Director warmly welcomed all the participants and proceeded further while sharing the significance of the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Merit Professor Dr Imtiaz Ali, Director, COMSATS University, Abbottabad, stressed the need for promoting research culture in educational institutions. He called for making our education system student-centered so that objective-based education may produce active, functional, and productive individuals in society. The director also highlighted the ongoing research projects in the COMSATS University in Abbottabad and commended the faculty for the efforts in developing the university in the field of research and encouraging the development of entrepreneurial and innovative research culture on the campus. Dr Imtiaz Ali professed that the COMSATS University had instilled in its students all the traits needed to shape and govern every single day of their professional life.

Chairman CGPC, presented a detailed presentation regarding an overview of MS/PhD students and also shared the research productivity of all departments. Each department shared its progress via detailed presentation and future targets were set accordingly.

A ceremony was arranged on the Day 2 of the event in which Certificates of Research Productivity Award (RPA) 2017 were distributed. Moreover, Certificates & Cash Prize for 2020-2021 were also distributed. Ms Saadia Munir, Assistant Registrar, served as stage secretary on the occasion.
