The department of Mathematics is one of the oldest departments of COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus. It was established in 2001. Mathematics as a mother of science is the basic need of all types of scientific fields. Without a sound mathematical background, obtaining excellence in fields like engineering, medical science, computer science, business, economics, etc., is impossible. In this regard, the department is providing services in allied departments of the campus like Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Management Science, and Development Studies.
